There has been alot of talk latley about hard males with fight drive which we all know is good for the breed but what about the other contributing factor the female, should,nt there be just as much attention to choosing of the breeding bitch? or titeling them as far as the 3 goes it seems a great focus on titled males but less on the titeld female? Lets see some pics or info on your breeding females that bring alot to the table also if you could set your way back machines what female would you choose for breeding if you were able?.

Never a truer word spoken, Give me a really top Female any day of the week over a equal Male
Why because the Golden Pup is born of the Female and you see often lesser amount Females working than Males and if you get a good one then you are in Clover,
There are plenty of Top Males to Choose from as a possible suitor to your Female but not the other way around
Two Modern day Females i really Like is FLIPSY von der MOHNWIESE she is nest Sister to EROS G Father of my IZZY
the other Female which i absolutely love is Mother of IZZY
BABSI von SPITZBUBEZWINGER ScH111 IPO 111 VH1 KKL11 for life she has everything one can look for in a Female
Strong, Bites as hard as most Males Very Very Fast, Strong Nerves but a social Dog
That is why i waited for her to come into Heat and the choice of Male for her was a good part mine and i am glad it turned out so

The female's in the GSD breed are truly underestimated; if you study the genetics of dog breeding; you will find that a very hgh percentage of the attributes given to the puppies comes from the mother; however, I have learned in this breed thatmore warrant has been given to the males? Why? I believe that they have more opportunity to compete as the bitches born and raised in Germany have been bred by the time they are 2 years old and only have completed their SCH l titles and then keep being bred. When do they have time and conditioning for competing? When a bitch is bred she is out of condition for 6 months; then when ready to compete is almost ready to be bred again (that is in Germany and othe countries).
I would hope that our US people give their bitches at least a year between litters (or more) to let them rest and do their work and compete or whatever their planned venue(s). I feel the strength of any breeding program is only as good as the foundation bitch. Any good male and bring SOMETHING to the table but the bitch holds the golden outcome of her progeny.
