His methods are both humane and effective .. what more can you ask?? Personally I feel that building and keeping the trust and cooperation of your dog is a two way street. The hard part is keeping your composure and not letting your ego or temper destroy in 10 seconds what it took 10 weeks to build .. trust !!

He is top notch trainer thats for sure. He can take a mediocre dog and do great with them, The proofs in the scores. Even in early 90's he was doing great things with his dogs

To my understanding, one of the very few top competitors whose dogs are H.O.T. from very young puppies, as well!

I agree completely. I was a member of Contra Costa Scutzhund in 1998/1999 when Ivan was there. I wish I could have been there longer but my divorce cut into my training schedule and MONEY!
By the time I could've gotten back into it, my dog was too old and Ivan left San Francisco for Florida.
He loves dogs and treats people decently even those like me who were not ambitious.

I second all that has been said. I have attended several of his seminars over the past 10 + years. I have learned a lot in each and every one. There is no one better than Ivan as a trainer. He has never been arrogant or mean to anyone, which says a lot by itself. His breeding program speaks for itself--just check the trial results for ot Vitosha dogs.
I don't know what the point of this thread is, as the OP posted nothing, as far as I can see. If the OP's screen mane was meant as a slam or parody, it would be unfortunate.
