We moved in to that farm house and were trying to fix it up. We moved my German Shepherds with us along with all of their kennel panels, feeders, buckets, dog igloos, ect... We also put up my 50 foot by 50 foot exercise pen, that we used for training dogs for AKC obedience and Rally. My boyfriend put an underground water line in that ran about 150 feet, that also had 2 freezeless spickets on it, in order to water all of these dogs. We were supposed to feed, water and clean all of the dogs at the kennel. I put up 2 indoor/outdoor whelping runs for my dogs while we were there and I also put up a 6 foot by 8 foot puppy pen for my dogs as well. My boyfriend and I bought a new storm door for the front of the house there, we also moved an extremely expensive storm door, that had a key lock on it from my old home and put it on the back door of this farm home. My boyfriend had broken his leg during this move, and I went out and bought a handicapped toilet and his brother put it in for us, so he could use the bathroom when he came home from the hospital. I had to sweep and mop the kitchen floor, every single day there, and I also had to use the vacuum cleaner in the living room every single day there, because this breeder would walk in our home any time, and did not care what was drug in that made the floors dirty every time! Also, this breeder knew that we could only get dial-up internet acess at that home, and would come in and use my computer all the time and tie up my telephone line while doing this.
One night, my boyfriend and I were eating dinner, I placed his plate on the kitchen counter because he wanted more to eat and was not done eating. All of a sudden we heard people in our kitchen!! This breeder went ahead and put my boyfriends plate in the sink, then went on with showing puppies in our kitchen!! This breeder claimed that it was too cold outside to show puppies. That was the last straw for me. My boyfriend told this breeder that it better not happen again, and that this breeder was not allowed to bring any more puppy people into our home! This breeder had brought someone into our home to use the restroom when we were not home, and then that person started to go through our personal cabinets, looking around. This breeder told us that this happened. I will continue in another post.

My boyfriend got a new job in another state, so I placed all of my adult dogs, except for 2 that we took with us when we moved. I also had to place the nice puppy that you see in my avatar as well in a home. We lived in another state for 6 months, and now have moved back. My boyfriend was injured on the job and needed cervical spine surgery for it. He had his lymph nodes removed under his right armpit several years ago, as he had malignant melanoma surgery. And has been in remission from it. Now, since he hurt his neck, he has no strength in his left arm as well. Anyway, the one bitch I took with me, bloated, which really hurt me bad. She died. And I sold my last male to a breeder that is going to show and breed him. So, now I do not have any GSD's with me at all. I am hoping to get some more after we are finally settled again. The puppy in my avatar was going to be my boyfriend's first GSD and he was going to work him and take him to Schutzhund trials. I now know that the breeder that we lived at the kennel is a true puppymiller. This breeder when we moved away from there, had been using both of MY whelping runs, not for whelping either. This breeder had 2 large Shepherd puppies that were almost 6 months old in one of the runs, and then had several puppies of another breed in my other whelping run. We had problems with money while living there and this breeder did buy some dog food for my dogs. This breeder complained about it to everyone that would listen about it. What this breeder does not understand is that my boyfriend handed over my 50 foot by 50 foot exercise pen, that was worth about $2000, my boyfriend put that water line in for that breeders' dogs for free. That breeder would of had to pay a pretty penny if it was done by a professional. This breeder told me and my boyfriend that we could come back for 4 dogloos, that I paid $100 each for when I bought them new. Then this breeder told my boyfriend that he was not allowed on the property.
We have been by this breeders' kennel several times while on the road driving home, and this breeder is now using my large exercise pen to store adult dogs in it! This pen has at least 4 dogloos in it and there are adult dogs running around in it! I heard from another breeder that this breeder sent an e-mail out to breeders saying that this breeder was downsizing the kennel. That is a lie, this breeder always has puppy customers at the kennel whenever we have to drive down that road. I have receipts for when we lived in that country house for LP gas. We paid almost $1000 for an 8 week period for LP gas to heat that house. The house is not heatable unless you can afford to pay for all of that gas. This breeder had new windows put in that house while we were there and the person that put the windows in is a good friend of ours. He said that he almost fell through an exterior wall upstairs in that home when he replaced a window upstairs. Cont....

Does anyone know if Indiana passed the animal law, that you can only have like up to 30 breeding animals on a property? I am not sure if it passed or not. This breeder would definately be breaking that law if it did pass.

Sorry to hear about all of your troubles, Pia, but are you talking about Rachel Clark and if you are, how can you say with a straight face that you didn't know she was running a puppy mill? I mean seriously...
For those of you who don't know who I'm talking about, here's her web site: www.raebark.info/

Sadly, a quick internet search revealed that in 2008, the person in question (breeder) approached the Indiana Board of Veterinarian Medical Examiners to have her license reinstated. On her website, it states she is a DVM having graduated from Purdue but is not practicing at this time. http://www.in.gov/portal/news_events/files/3.26.2008.pdf If I found this on the internet prior to renting from her, I'd run.
It's a sad story, but, if anything, hopefully this experience will help prevent future mishaps.

All I can say is take one look at that website and there is NO doubt that person is a pupy mill. I counted at least 17 males and as many or more females.... All mediocre lines, bad coats and little if any titles. Very sad and the type of person that gives the rest of us a bad name. And I agree someone needs to bring up to the vet. board what this lady is up too.
Just my two cents... very sad indeed.
