Without going into any serious detail, I am driving something more dependable to CA. I need a ride to get pick up "more dependable". Very cool Xmas gift.
Not sure what to do with Red. Nobody wants her, even though she holds four 500 crates and everything but the back door works (needs lift attachement hardware). I hate to send new tires and all new brakes (master cyl. and all) to the salvage yard. She passed PA state inspection last month, gets 15-17 mpg even with AWD. She does need an emissions sensor. I just don't trust her to pull a dog trailer across the country in the cold winter months. Anybody want a very used AWD van???

Regarding rehoming your Aerostar, you might check with the nearest homeless, rehab or women's shelter; I know the ones in my very small town can always use a vehicle that's sound and running, even if it needs some repairs, that they can give to someone in their program who's trying to get back on his/her feet and needs a vehicle in order to do that. Not only does the van get to live on and help someone else, but you get a tax deduction for your donation as well.
Good luck on your trip West.
