Hi,
I'm getting my next gs puppy in about a year and i was seriously thinking of getting an Aceofnike van het Bleekhof puppy, but was wondering, since it will be my first shepherd to do schutzhund with if i should start out with a different line or would it matter really?
Thanks.

i've seen charley and nike on many occasions, the dog's accomplishments (and those of his trainer) cannot be denied.choose that pup or any other from solid working lines.....if the breeder does his/her job and you do yours, then i'm sure you'll have as likely a "schutzhund prospect" as anyone else!!!! even the best bred pup can fall thru the cracks if the training/imprinting is totally incorrect...but then again,it's not "rocket science",get with a quailified mentor or progressive club and go for it,heed the advice of people who've "been there".....don't sit on the sidelines, talking about what "cute little thing "your pup did lately....get up close and personal when the top trainers are on the field...watch what they do,and try to implement some of their techniks...be sure you have all of the equiptment you need(lightweight leads and long-line,secure flat collar, suitable crate, training treats and comfortable clothing)don't be afraid to get dirty, don't be afraid to pitch in when another club member needs help......there are many good "working lines",do your research on "nike's" progeny....see if any pups are simulary bred in your area.....target a particular dog that you like and see how he/she produces, best of luck.
