I am glad worked out for you. Did they ask you if any "titles" or "special training" they ask me every year. 1 year I hurried up and retrained in english before the meet and greet.

Hello 1doggie2,Thanks for asking..Yes, they did..Their policy is ,if any of the dogs bite someone ,they are to be put down and would need proof..Hope never to cross that bridge...They won't cover Akitas,PitBulls and Rotties..Most people I know that have Pittbulls ,say they are mixed anyway..as a k9 officer ,I taught dog safety..I also had to retrain my dogs to English.. I stress to people socialize, socialize, socialize, when purchasing puppies and continue..As pet owners we are responsible for what our pets do..Thanks again doggie2..Happy Holidays !!! Laker

State Farm is the best I think. I love State Farm because everything you own is concidered private property including yourself and family. You can pretty much dictate your own policy coverage and by acres. They cover every darn thing possible. Land transit of livestock, working dogs, vehicles, machinery, crops, household, etc.. everything. Theft. Armed and unarmed robbery. Everything on your property can be insured for anything and everything.

The only thing they don't cover is loss of sheep. LOL

State Farm is awesome !!

Every state is different as to how an insurance company underwrites coverage. In my state, State Farm is one of the worst in terms of the presence of dogs in a home and GSDs are on their black list.

Just today I received a call from someone wanting to get rid of her GSD. It supposedly got into a fight, while on her property, leashed, with another dog whose owner was walking her dog off-leash. The second dog entered the yard, got into a fight with the leashed dog, the owner of the dog who was off-leash was bitten and now the insurance agency is canceling the policy of the people who live on the property whose dog was leashed. The "homeowner" who apparently is a renter, has been told to leave (I guess there is no lease document or maybe they are being evicted). Of course, I could not verify "facts", but I do know that in my state having a GSD is often a problem with most insurance companies. I have never had an incident with a dog and I cannot insure my property for liability because I have dogs here who are GSDS.

You are correct   State Farm does not insure German shepherd Homes in East Texas either....they will and then the Head adjuster comes out and WHallah   the premium goes up and or you get a letter giving you 30 days to rewrite your policy...
Or  get rid of the German shepherds...

STATE FARM IS NOT ANIMAL FRIENDLY IN ALL STATES OR ALL REGIONS>>>>

YR, I had also thought this was true in at least part of TX as I have a friend who has GSDs who cannot insure with SF there either. Thanks for the additional information.

Who else has better farm and property coverage ? Give me names.

Mystere, We were required to have an agent come to our home to meet our dogs and sign off on the temperment of the dogs. I have a ROTTIE and GSD. I was not taking any chances with them passing, so I retrained in English, to prevent alot of questions about why I talk to them in German.

Babyeagle, Are you stating, they know you have working dogs as in sch, or sheep hearders?
