Just wanted to share a postive experience I had Last night, while picking up my pup,  at JFK in NY.
Plane arrived a bit late, temp was 32 degrees without taking the wind factor into consideration. There were 6 of us waiting for dogs arriving from around the world and around the country. People behind the counter though very nice stated that cargo comes off first. Well, in steps a manager and tells us the dogs will be off loaded immediately, it too cold for them to be sitting on the tarmac. He then got 1 person put him in charge of getting the dogs and paper work immediately. Well dogs were brought into the warmth within 10 minutes.

I have been searching for an address and name to address a letter of commendation for this wonderful manager.
Can anyone help me? Have looked under Delta corporate etc.

thanks
btw my pup is Back Policia Slovakia

I had basically the same experience about 18 years ago when I got a pup from The Netherlands.  I mailed a letter of commendation to the actual physical address where I picked up my pup, to the attention of Delta Cargo Management.  I got back a very nice letter thanking me for my feed back.  They said they read my letter aloud at an employee meeting and put a copy of my letter in the files of each of the employees that assisted me.

Congrtulations on the new puppy!!! It's always nice to be able to share GOOD experiences :-)

My newest pup was nearly kept overnight at a boarding facility (and charge me $100) since Customs was closed, but for $100 they had someone there fill out all the paperwork for me, so all we had to do was sign a few papers and take our girl home.
We didn't write a letter, but we did bring them some excellent Chinese food

 You can leave feedback here:

I think it's very important to leave positive feedback when someone has done a great job.  So often, all the airline employees get to speak with are frustrated and irate passengers, through no fault of those particular employees.  I'm glad you are going to leave some good feedback.

Not that it matters a hill of beans but I wanted to chime in and say that when I bought Wicked from Lee Hough in PA we used Delta to ship her down.  They treated her very well, she arrived in great shape and with concrete eveidence of having been cared for while in transport, all the newspaper had been replaced with Delta blankets, there was fresh water in the little cup and they were propmt in gettting her off the plane and into my care.  I have not had an opportunity to ship since then, but I will definately use them again.  So nice to have something go as planned!
