Someone told me about this machine that a dog can actually learn to use themselves. Anybody have any experience with one? Sometimes on those frigid mornings it sounds like an absolutely perfect idea. Of course I would not want to replace myself with this, just thought it could be an additional activity for my ball crazy dog.

I think it looks like fun, it might be very useful, especially on those days when people just don't have time or are sick or injured and can't exercize the dog.  Here is a video from the website showing a dog using it:   http://www.godoggoinc.com/movies/custmr/george.html
I love how after the dog puts the ball in the bucket he starts stamping with his front feet in anticpation!  There are other videos of different dogs using it on the website too.

I can't get the videos to play, but what a cool idea!, especially for high energy dogs like Jack Russells and Border collies, who don't seem to have an 'off'' switch!

Some GSD's fit that category, too...

I wonder about the dog that stands right in front of the shoot?

That is awesome!  My dog would love it.  He already takes his tou and drops it in every water bowl or garbage can he can find.  I'd like to know the price.

Beetree, vikram can't help himself.  He's bored at home recovering from his dog bites.

I wonder if it holds balls bigger than a normal tennis ball. My dog nearly inhales tennis balls sometimes, so I use larger balls and toys.

Jim, my dog loves to drop his toy in any body of water he can find, too. He use to drop into our indoor swimming pool that we converted to a Koi pond and wait for me to drag it to the edge for him. I got tired of that job and pushed him in one evening. It took him a couple of days before he would take his toy near the pool, but eventually dropped in again. Now he retrieves it himself.
