I am wanting to do some research on these 2 dogs that I have listed below.

Wilson von der Schnuckenweide and  Olivia vom Baiselsberg

What are both the pro and con from both of these lines? What are the strong to the weakness? If you feel more comfortable emailing me then go for it.

If you personally met these dogs... please elaborate their temperament/working abilitiy and overall attitute.

PS... if you have a video of their protection work, please send them to me.

it looks you are new to the dog world

There is nothing to research in a SHowline bloodline. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Show business is very subjective. Its not objective like working line sports.

Whats the need to study the lines? its pointless. If you like the looks of the dog. Go for it.

cheers

ONly one fact I look at on the Wilson pedigree.....got a lot of Uran and liver carriers in that pedigree....line bred close on lots of carriers?????Your  bone to chew..

Rude remarks about showlines are really a little bit childlike.... This is why we have so many name calling and arguments on this board...It really is not needed...The poster ask a decent question..If you do not like showlines or the dogs she posted , tell what facts are info needed.  Funny, but some of the best working lines come out of old west german bloodlines...showlines blended with worklines before they got all sorted into a seperate catagory.

   Unbelievable !

Pleae do not try to rack your brain too much. Its a known fact that Internet has no context., What you find as a rude remark, a lot of people would find a matter of factly stated fact and may or may not agree. You really have no clue of what I like or dislike. SO keep your opinions about me to yourself. I'm not really interested in knowing them

cheer s & regards

THe post didn't have your name on it  , but if you want to claim it  ok...but if you think showlines are so worthless and don't need to be studied or researched for faults, problems,   traits, temperaments and valuablability before someone buys or uses the titled dogs above for a breeding , then I am sorry but    if you have some valid reason for the digrest,,,post the problems of fact.

No study is  POINTLESS  or in vain....the lack of studying  bloodlines that are known carriers or have facts needed to be talked about among german shepherd lovers, is the reason we have all the Horrible birth defects and unhealthy german shepherds in rescues and in homes with vet bills high as the sky.

just  my opinion,

Vikram do you have anything educating to say about the 2 dogs that I have listed up or are you trying to provoke drama? If so please do it on your own threads, not mine.

"There is nothing to research in a SHowline bloodline."

And here we go...

I guess by the same token, we could say that there's little point in researching working bloodlines from many of the former eastern bloc countries because up until 20 years ago, it was anyone's guess how accurate the pedigrees were.

well, there is something to look for, and even though I have pure working line dogs, some years back did have a couple of showlines ( my big secret!)

You do need to check seriously for some genetic flaws because they do have this a little more than some of the working lines, not all but some do.  Get online and check out some of the GERMAN german shepherd breeders and ask them.  I think you will get some good answers.  Also, need to know that there is no spondylosis.  It's a helpful thing to know.  Heavy linebreeding in showlines is not a good thing.

good luck
