Im new sorry if this is in the wrong spot..   Can someone tell me where to post a picture of her?  She was sold to me as a German Shepherd but the more I look at her the more I think otherwise.  Sorry again if this is in the wrong spot.

SkipShift,

your dog is neither Mali nor German Shepherd, sorry. She looks like a mix of GSD and somewhat else but it's difficult to suggest of what.

by Vikram on 08 December 2009 - 05:12

I think she got mixed with a Tundra Wolf

The dominant breed looks to me like GSD.  Could be a purebred, but if so, the pigments are faded pretty good.

Sweet looking dog, regardless of parentage, and looks well loved, to me.  Definitely doesn't look Mali to me..

By the way I have the exact same end tables!

GSD< very faded color.  Lacking almost all black coloring.  Think Rin Tin Tin without most of the black on it.  And if you blend colored lines with fading genes with white lines this is not terribly uncommon.  Not to say that the White parent is the one at fault, but that lacking any darker coloring from that parent it fails to cover the lack in the colored dog.  If you bred two faded dogs you'd get what used to be considered a "Silver" shepherd, which is actually a faded black and cream with LOTS of cream and little black.

probably a mix, or a faded pigment GSD.
