Agreed.  Which is why it's ridiculous for USA to make rules that you can't belong to one specific organization only.

The point is not whether the bitework at either organization's Sieger Show was serviceable or not is not the argument.  The argument is the drivel that was being force fed at the meeting and even in the latest magazine about how this move by USCA is for the betterment of the breed and not because of WUSV participation and personal agenda.

Two days ago I sent an E-mail to all of the EB members after Pam sent me the above response, as of yet I have heard nothing from any one of the 6.  Customer service is certainly not their strong suit.  As we are discussing, judging show dog temperament isn't either,,,,,,,,,what is?

How did it go from:

5. Binding Arbitration Agreement
Motion by Sean O’Kane that members shall be required to agree to binding arbitration in the case of a
legal dispute with USA by signing a statement on their membership application/renewal.
Motion carried (yes–61, no–3).

To: (see part in bold)

1. Any disagreements related to my membership with the United Schutzhund Clubs of American will be irrevocably – settled by arbitration using the American Arbitration Association and its rules. In order to simplify issues, I and the United Schutzhund Clubs of America agree that the maximum artitral award shall be equal to and not greater than the membership dues and any contributions I have made by this application. The amount is defined as . . .

Did the executive board change what the membership voted on?  Or did I miss another vote somewhere?

This entire "loyalty card" or pledge or whatever it really is smacks of Nazi Germany from a historical point of view. Do it our way or else.......

My dog and I are now "homeless" because the club I WAS in decided to stay UScA....BECAUSE OF SOME CO-OWNERSHIPS WITH (BIGSHOT) WDA PEOPLE. My clubmates didn't need to be WDA, so to heck with the rest of us who do. Therefore, my money is now going to a private trainer instead of a UScA club, and my ex-club members are supporting a breeder who has been kicked out of UScA and needs other people to be able to show in UScA for her. Works for me! I'm spending the same amount of cash but I don't have to hang around unethical people. Also, I get to float around to different clubs and get lots of ideas, as if I were going to a seminar each week!

Ugly politics. I hate clubs! I don't see how anybody can say it isn't about money, because it sure is. If nobody was allowed to charge money for dogs, none of this would be happening. In my old club one unethical breeder and a couple new breeders are continuing to make a buck despite the bylaw that was meant to limit their affiliations for the "betterment of the breed," but the peons such as myself are out of luck for just training their dogs.

And no, I don't want to join WDA either, because they have their own unethical stuff going on, duh. I have joined DVG. Luckily, there are no clubs near me so I won't have to find out about THEIR creepy carrying-on! I'll just go there to trial in regionals, in the unlikely event I should score really well at a UScA or WDA trial. In the meantime, I have personal service and my money stays away from UScA or its affiliates, and NOTHING CHANGES FOR THE PEOPLE WITH THE BIG MONEY.

Vom:

I,m curious what stopped you before from going to seminars? Being USA  or WDA won,t stop any one from taking your money at a seminar?.

by VomMarischal on 15 January 2010 - 18:01

No, I mean that going to visit all the different clubs is LIKE going to seminars. We have some rally amazing trainers around here, and I mean to pick all their brains!

by VomMarischal on 15 January 2010 - 18:01

Ew, I'm trying to change my logo photo...instead of changing, it's the same photo all stretched out. Maybe this is part of the new dealie that Oli is talking about

Looks like the "Loyalty Cards" are working lots of new WDA clubs!  2 in kansas, 1 in Arkansas, 1 Los Angeles, 1 Georgia  keep up the good work UScA I'm sure the WDA appreciates all you are doing to make the WDA the best dog sport organization in the USA!

As predicted; history is repeating itself. You would think USA would have learned their lesson the first time.
