More power to you Shelley.I have had to leave just about all I owned to get away from my x.Had to sell some dogs and was ripped apart for it.People were to quick to judge me and had no clue what my situation was and what pain in my heart that i was feeling.There were a few good people that stuck by me and knew the love I have for my dogs.I...like you have made sure that they are fed before I am and that they get good food.That is probably why i like my dogs more then most people as they never judge me and they are always there for me through all the crap and hard times that we have had....and through it all they are always smiling and happy to be with me even if I am not so happy.
So stay strong and the people that matter will always be there for you and so will your dogs.

Since I have a few more minutes between dogs, I shall address GSDrules NASTY accusations from a couple weeks ago when I was broke down far from here (or anywhere, really) concerned for my dogs, and unable to defend myself on this board for lack of internet access.

Well la di da.  I stand by what I said.  That bitch should not have been bred while you were in those circumstances.
There are hypocrites on this board about "bettering the breed" and "we don't make any money on these pups" and so on.
And you are one of them.
So you doubt that one stillborn pup had anything to do with being bred under stress and then hauled cross country?
I guess you being the big shot dog breeder would know.

And you are right about one thing, I would never be in your situation or make the choices you made.

Big shot breeder? Better the breed?  Moi? Since when? I've always thought the breed is pretty darned good just like it is. Far be it from me to be so pretentious as to presume I could better it! Are you new here or something?

Portia was not bred under stress. Honestly, being a seasoned road warrior, with many thousands of miles to her credit, sitting up on the double bed in the conversion van during the days, and sleeping next to me and T at night, didn't phase her one bit. As long as she's with someone she loves she's a happy camper. It was ME that was stressed.

I am still mourning the loss of her puppy.
Portia, however, is not.

She looks happy Shelley. I know my dogs have always been able to deal with traveling and going from one place to another.Also don't they ship out pregnant bitches? I would think that flying would be a bit more stressful then driving around with family and things that are faniliar.jmo

Well, yeah I am pretty new here.    I registered a long time ago, then my computer died and when I got a new one
I didn't remember this place.  I stumbled across it by accident and saved the link and started checking it out.

Yeah. I could have shipped her ahead, or left her with someone who didn't like her, or someone who does like her... but I felt she would be happiest and best off with me. I was there to catch her shen he mom spit her out. I will be there to catch her whelps when SHE spits them out. We're in this together.
