Geez Maggie..... do you hear yourself? A dog is a dog, its not a human. No, the world does not revolve around SCHH, but the OP would like to show her dog which has a nice pedigree. And part of a successful show career is a SCHH 1 title. Besides if I wouldnt push my dogs a bit and let them do what they absolute would love to do, then they would eat food all day long, hang out on the couch, piss on every tree and make a lot of puppies... Help her instead of putting her down and telling her she cant do it when the major issue appears to be the wrong training and not a sour temperament. Jim gave the right sugestions, and every one can make mistakes in rasing a puppy.

I agree with the above!Tapping from what I have learned is this! Some times your dog will just not want to do bite work! that does not mean you have to give up! Plenty of other things to do besides schutzhund ! Plenty of other more important things too! For me being a first timer the largest obstacle is my lack of knowledge in knowing what to do in training! find a good older obedience trainer and a good club to train in routine work! May take longer to do than for more experienced folks but you can do it! do not give up!
