I don't know cause I have seen some that weren't stacked and they had a roached back.....or it looked like there was a break in the mid part of it's back.Don't know if it had some kinda problem or that was it's confirmation. The owner would never admit to anything being wrong with it.Probably cause he wanted to breed it.(not that it ever should have been)

Ya, that's a load of crap.

Eddie has too much rear angulation for my taste.

The American lines are polluted with ancestors of  GV Ch Lance of Fran-Jo.  He was a good dog but almost everyone took it too far.   "if Lance produces well, why not take an inbred Lance son to my Lance daughter?"  Of course no dog is good enough to handle this treatment  and temperment  problems, refinement, and other "freakish developments" caused by such close breeding including, but not limited to many more medical problems, "hammock" type backs.overly straight upperarms, and lack of correct muscular developement  and ligamentation,  (all of which contribute to the exagerrated GSD side gate seen winning today). Two moons, you have responsibility partially placed correctly, However, at the lead of this craze there is one name that stands out as "the Ultimate Breed Wrecker".  That name is James A. Moses, who pushed for breeding to his inbred Lance of Fran-jo son (1-2) stud dog for just about any bitch. Or was Zeus  a bitch with a set of balls; a puny undersized, drop off croup dog whose every $ of stud fees went to Jimmy?  I have to question the integrity of Mr. Moses on these and many other things which he has done in his 40 + years in the Breed.  AKC, you should be ashamed of yourselves for honoring such an individual The American show ring is full of Lance of Fran-jo decendants rather than having viable diversity from which to choose, although occasionally a decent one will appear.  The preceding is just my opinion from over 30 years in the Breed..

You may think the American Specialty show lines look not too bad from the side view, well the front assembly is too straigt, and they walk on their hocks, but they look substantial.

Oh my, you would be shocked if you stood in front of one and looked down.

ROAD KILL!  It is like a paper doll, a cutout dog.  Good from the side, and paper thin from standing over and looking down.
Some of them look really wobbly when they walk.

I used to belong to the SonoMarin Dog club.  I had no idea what I was walking into.  They gasped at the sight of Shadow, who had the looks of his DDR grandfather.  Oh my, he is so masculine, where did he get that head, look at that front assembly, it's a perfect lay back.

I didn't know much of anything  but I did think their dogs looked sort of effeminate and narrow, like a Borzoi (Russian Wolfhound).  But, what did I know.  I entered him at a couple of shows.  Of course, he didn't do very well but people would line up to see him close up.  They gave me their cards because they wanted to breed to him.  I said, he's too young and politely accepted their cards and tossed them later.

People brought their litters of puppies there so I got to see lots of them.  They pointed out which ones were "Special" show quality.  Not all the pups were deformed but those are the ones they picked.  The poor things looked like Bambi trying to stand for the first time.  The pet quality were normal pups.

When I worked at the vet clinic there was a puppy American bred for sure.It could barely walk and was so wobbly. The vet came in and on first glance thought its legs were broke and asked why I was letting it walk.I had to explain it to them that's the way it is and that isn't why it was in there. They didn't believe me and had to look at the paper work to see what was wrong with it......just normal vaccines. The vet I guess had never seen one in person and not as a pup.It did have some loose feeling hips but we couldn't take x rays for the hell of it to see what it looked like.I wanted to for education purpose. It was truely sad.

That is terrible.  What the heck is wrong with these breeders?   Why can't "they" see what others "see"??
Are there any Dog Shows coming up soon on TV?   I definitely want to see these American GSDs.
