well, i like corn, but, this year i'm ordering nearly all our seeds from an heirloom seed catalog. we can't get away from genetically modified crops - it's too late. but , if you want old time taste (or just taste), look up "heirloom seeds" or "rare seeds" or "seed banks". there are people "out there" who are dedicated to maintaining supplies of old seeds of fruits, vegetables and flowers from all over the world. basically, anything you grow yourself is going to taste better than store-bought, but, i'm looking forward to trying out some heirloom veggies this year. we don't use chemicals either to fight bugs or fungus. the trick is to find the right varieties for your own area. but, no corn for the dogs anyway.
