Where do you live ? I know around the Appalachians the weather is serious this year, like no other. Even at the track with our horses.. the ground is so frozen you can cripple a horse by walking fast. The track is closed 4 training and live races for days now. Even the horses and livestock don't want outta the barns. When I did take one out, the body heat from the hoofs will force it to freeze to the ground. The temps have been steady @ 5 degrees for the past week with crazy gusts of wind. Like a deep freeze over here.

Maybe this isn't your issue .. just thought I'd mention it.
I could imagine a dog in an outside kennel with a cement floor really not like being there with these type conditions. I leave my dogs out in the middle of the night to go potty and they are back at the door in minutes.. like they rush to go potty. Which isn't normal either.

I dunno what your kennel situation is ... I'm just saying. Warmer in the crate ?

Good Luck.
