first off, the dog's right leg is being pulled down more than the left.  the ligaments still hold it, but it gives the appearance of being further out of the socket than it actually is.  (excessive traction distorts the view)
i guess, if it were my dog, i would go ahead and train the dog as normal.  i honestly don't see anything that would prevent the dog from normal activities.  ofa at age 2.  even if the dog doesn't certify (and i don't know that it wouldn't) i don't believe this dog will be impaired or require restrictions of any kind.

Personally, I would be satisfied with them. But I know that OFA is getting really picky about hip joint conformation. It seems that it's not enough that there are no signs of clinical HD, now. They are really looking closely at the margin between the femoral head and neck and the degree to which the anterior rim of the acetabulum "covers" or sort of cups over the femoral head. I see a lot of dogs with short femoral necks and obtuse angle to the femoral neck and this is normal for some dogs, but it seems that OFA doesn't like it and either marks the dog down or refuses to pass them. I may be reading too much into it, but this is what I have noticed. Some dogs.. especially those with DDR backgrounds.. tend to have very muscular hindquarters and have a wider stance than a show dog, for example. These dogs don't seem to do as well on OFA exams, from what I've seen. They tend to get more "fair" ratings.
To me, HD is HD.. evidenced by acute or chronic degenerative changes, including arthritis. I would be happy to have this bitch, if she was otherwise a nice bitch.. but, a lot of people want that almighty OFA and AKC papers and other tokens of approval from iconic authorities in the dog world.
