Jenn, how is Elk tripe different? Well, besides the obvious species difference. ;-)

by VomMarischal on 10 March 2010 - 20:03

Lyn, I would rather touch green tripe than baby poop!!

by LynOD on 10 March 2010 - 21:03

LOL!!!  I'll stick with baby poop thanks!

Lyn, we can try;-) I only have a few ostrich necks left though. The other thing is to check out USHIP and see if you can get someone w/a cooler or refrigerated truck heading that way.

Shady, I think it must be the diet- that's all I can think of. For some reason, it's just not  quite as nasty.  Don't get me wrong; it's nasty, just not quite as bad.

Jenni78:  Thanks for the offer I may take you up on it later but for now I think I will look for Tripet (canned) for me I think the handling will be easier.  I however, may have to buy a freezer.  Thanks to all Nan

Check craigslist for freezers; lots of people are losing their homes and leaving them behind or selling off as much as they can.

by VomMarischal on 10 March 2010 - 22:03

Yeah, I have two, and each cost fifty bucks on craigslist.

I bought a brand new GE upright high efficiency for about 400.00 delivered from Home Despot.

I have two freezers, one a stand up commercial I bought some 15 years ago.  The other a chest freezer from walmart for 129.00, it works great!!!

I use to feed my male the canned green tripe from Merrick. It made his stools loose.

I switched to the excaliber formula from greentripe.com and his stool are firm.
