Raymond, arguments are sometimes MOOT, not mute. If they were MUTE, nobody would hear them, which in fact might be a good idea. FYI.

The word, is "moot," not mute. After that I didn't bother to read any further. The issue is whether (1) Dogs are allowed in the area and (2) the circumstances under which dogs are ALLOWED to be off leash. ¶it is axiomatic that one's dog must/should always be under the owner's control, regardless of the circumstances. No idiot can seriously argue otherwise. ¶it is also axiomatic that an UNATTENDED DOG, as in 4pack's case, is NOT under anyone's control. Again, something no idiot would argue about. I am going back to ignoring bird posts. :-)

yES i SHALL MAKE A POINT OF CORRECTING MY GRAMMER!  But the issue still stands does it not! We are required to have controll of our dogs at all times? Yes at all times ! so any argument otherwise is fruitless! Is that a better word to use??? Now if you choose another path perhaps your animal will loose it's life from your neglect! My two experiences prove that any other reasoning is meaningless! Does that word hit the mark?

The problem is, Raymond, that you want everyone to be perfect. It's true that 4Pack had a wasted day, but accidents happen. I'm not slamming anybody until I hear the other side, like how the dog got loose. For example, once when I left my dogs in a boarding facility, some dimwit let goats run around the kennels. OK, my girl tore out her chain link and killed a goat. So whose fault is it? Well, it's a combination of possibilities. Maybe the boarding person, for not having more secure kennels; maybe the farmer's, for putting goats where GSDs were kenneled; maybe Ally's, for being a bloodthirsty bitch; maybe the ram's, for trying to face her down; maybe mine, for not choosing a better spot. I don't know. Life is sometimes a comedy of errors. But I bet you can guess who had to PAY for some "world famous" boer goat stud.

I do not expect everyone to be perfect! that is a cop out excuse for rude behavior! When someone takes their dog to a public park and attempts to play catch or off lead sitz or plotz ect ect and then complains about another dog being OFF LEASH  seems hyposritical to me! I am in favor of being able to take ones dog to a place to train off leash but off leash is also relinquishing total control of your dog! Many times while walking we encounter dogs and owners off leash!  I would love to be able to do that but sure as shootin when I do ole murphys law arrives  and shit cans everything! Unless the owner is in complete controll they are asking fdor trouble! Was not Ally"s fault ! I am used to blood thirsty bitches anyway! That breed is prolific here???

Oh Ray ray what ever are we going to do with you? The POINT IS!!!! That 4 Pack was playing with her dogs in a park.I am figuring that no one else around and that she did have control of her dogs or she wouldn't have them off leash. There was a STRAY that means no owner to have control over that dog.Now unless 4pack is a super bionic woman that can fend off some stray dog..... I can see why she would be a bit worried and not want her dogs to go running.....hence most likely kicking that stray in to prey mode and chasing hers.EVEN IF she had control over her dogs and could call them back there is STILL that other dog she doesn't have control over.THAT is the problem here and with people that let their dogs run loose.I don't care what breed it is.I don't care if it is a freakin Chihuahua running around. The point being you can't control the dog that isn't yours. I have control of my dog.Even though he is an intact male and has already been in a dog fight(cause the other dog started it) He knows it is best to ignore it.BUT if the threat continues.....game on!!!  SO there is no fault of 4pack to be playing ball with her dogs...it is fault of the strays owner or lack there of to be running around. There is a leash law in all states I have lived in but that is mostly in city limits. There are OFF LEASH parks/beach in Chicago and Lake Forest or Lake Bluff has an off leash beach for dogs as well.Out where I am if you have a dog in training ie SchH,AKC whatever you are able to have it off leash. Luckily there are baseball Fields that you can have your dog in.That is where I work my dog cause it is fenced in and i can keep unwanted strays and people that don't have control of their dog out.

Give it up my darlings -  LOOK!  In the sky!   It's a bird it's a plane - Why yes it is!  It's a big jet plane full of common sense, reason and logic roaring  right over his head AGAIN!

Thank you, LAV K9!! I honestly do NOT know why that specific and specified fact seemd to sail right on into the ther with Ray, but so it goes. ¶ That is one reason to simply ignore the bird posts. Heckle and Jeckle will always ignore salient facts in favor of ranting, or just being obnoxious.

by VomMarischal on 16 February 2010 - 19:02

By the time he's through with me, I have no idea what the topic is any more, either....

Raymond is angry because if you read his posts, he clearly has zero control over his own dogs, therefore cannot allow them any off lead freedom, which translates into hostility and anger and bitterness toward everyone who does have control enough so that their dog off leash is not a public menace. Just for fun, I made that into a run-on sentence, in the true spirit of Ray Ray.
