I'm kind of glad that HBO DID post Newkirk's story. It's helpful to understand just where she's coming from.

She believes there is no such thing as 'BAD' publicity.

She wants her friends to have a BBQ after she dies, and she will be on the menu.

She also wants them to take the tattoed portions of her skin, and make them into some sort of useful article.

Know your enemy. It will help you fight against them.

LAV, the whole point of PETA is to go after those caring about their particular breed.  They want to eliminate domestic animals.  They've got the mutt category sewn up (pun intended) with mandatory spay/neuter and since they did such a bang-up job it's time to go after the REAL scoundrels!  I'll give them that, they knew just how to go about getting the public support by impersonating people that actually care about pets.  Now it's time to put their true agenda into action.  They want us all to become extinct so the animals can take back their planet!

Yeah, I have to agree with Sunsliver, it's good to know what these people are saying, it's just frustrating that OUR side doesn't have the articulate spokespersons, & the constant media bombardment that seems to be the only things that matter to people any more. Who cares what anyone says...just as long as they say it louder, & over, & over again...that's all that matters. It's depressing. I used to think I was big on animal rights, until I started reading what these people are really about, they are not about animal rights, they are about human control! It is nauseating. jackie harris

"it's just frustrating that OUR side doesn't have the articulate spokespersons"

There are plenty of people - I'm guessing over 250 million in America alone - articulate enough to debate some dingbat like Pamela Anderson and stomp her so badly that she has a total breakdown and then retires to some $5,000 per day Hollywood funny farm for a month to recover.

The problem is that there are also a couple hundred million Americans so caught up in the celebrity culture that their brains automatically shut off when some plasticized Barbie like Pamela Anderson opens her mouth and spews a bunch of weepy BS about "the poor animals" on Inside Edition.  So the key is to cultivate our OWN pet-owning plasticized Barbies to serve as spokespeople to ask why the bad PETA people want to take po widdle Fluffy away from them, and worry more about whether they are exposing the proper amount of flesh to captivate the target audience than about the specifics of whatever nonsense comes out of their mouths.

Funny you mentioned Pam...I was thinking of her on something I saw about PETA and a benefit they were having. I was thinking the same thing as all the Hollywood numbnuts are backing PETA that you're right even if there were more pople that were against them (like us or non Hollywood people) it wouldn't matter.People are so brain washed it is scary!!
