I have created a planned litter and temporarily registered the litter as dog to see if it was possible in that window but neither offer the option.

Last I knew the PDF feature was no longer available. You need to find another way to save it depending on the programs you have available. I copy and paste using Microsoft Word or another program when I need to save and print out a pedigree. Members will probably offer other ways they are doing it now.
This was discussed before here is the link.

For PDF replacements I can do stuff like this: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/breeding.pdfprint?father=27&mother=1636
Most computers have the ability to print as pdf. Best free PDF print driver is http://www.cutepdf.com/products/cutepdf/writer.asp but it can be complicated since you need to install also (before) the ghostprint driver (referenced on page, click the "here" link). After installation it simply works like any printer except it creates PDF documents.

That's what I meant yes, I can't really tell from this comment if it's still possible in any way? My printer prints PDF.
Edit: chaged the ID umbers with those of the parents and it worked, thank you!!
