I am a very serious breeder in Australia looking to work together in exporting quality bloodlines to Europe for the quality and improvement of the world wide genepool.
I've been advised that Sweden, Norway, Czech, Austria & France will accept Australian-bred bloodlines. If you are from any of these countries, do you know if your kennel club/s agree with this? I would just like to confirm...
As you may know, our official kennel club in Australia (ANKC) does not look or register our local bloodlines, so we have independent WSS registries/clubs that do it instead.
I would be willing to send a puppy or frozen semen to reputable breeders in Europe to be registered with the FCI and have them shown over there. I would be interested in a few generations later, importing the bloodlines back into Australia with an FCI pedigree that Australia would accept.
Some of the dogs I can offer are:

Though I think it will depend on the individual county as to whether it is necessary to have 3 generations of white breeding. Some of my bloodlines have coloured dogs...
What are your own countries regulations about registering dogs with the FCI logo? Must the dog have 3 generations? Are any American dogs allowed?
I will work more on this post and show you some of the other dogs I have bred also...

But you have wrong.

Sweden maybe, don't know what will happened next year. This year is to late.

The reason is that the FCI states clearly in his circular that the pedigree of a white swiss shepherd needs to have ONLY white shepherds at least for 3 generations. none of these dogs fullfill this requirement (except Hulk).
germany and also swiss are curious about this and no breeder get allowance to use any dog for breeding which has not 3 generations of white dogs in his pedigree, even if the dog has a FCI pedigree.
other countries may allow this even it is against the circular from the FCI.
best wishes,
Cynthia

So they must have 3 generations of white behind them. Thank-you for the clarification.
Can anyone please explain why the USA import, Surefire's Obi Wan Kinobi was registered as a WSS in Europe - even though his parents are not white?

Hi Niegepearl,
Salutes to Australia.
Interesant post and difficult to explain and understand isnt it?
OBI-WAN KENOBI is registered in Finland as WSS, before the 2007 FCI.be circular. I can see AKC championships and UKC registration number here in pedigree database (maybe I'm wrong). Has been used as stud all over Europe, Finland, Germany, Cheq Rep., Austria etc.. To be honest with excellent results, look at CHANTAL TAIEN 2008 BBI cup of nations winner. Reputated kennels like White energy, Born to win, White condor used him with different breeding purposes longhair, short hair or working dogs; though I dont know if they still use him as stud or what their puppies pedigree look alike you must ask them.
Anyway my intentions is'nt to judge them wrong or right. In my opinion is really interesant to mix white shepherds where ever they come from if they're good and OBI is.
In other hand I know several kennels who did'nt use him as stud even they wanted afraid of the pedigree consequences and the commentaries.
At first I thought if it had to do with the conflict between BBI and FBBSI but kennels from both sides have used the dog so I imagine you're going to have to find a breeder interested in your dogs (which are beautiful) with courage enough like ternuler schloss (excellent Zenado) but it's getting more and more difficult.
Perhaps all breeders should keep their first intention when in some countries in Europe breeding white shepherds was not so easy and everyone was opened to new lines and brought so many american and canadian dogs to establish the breed as it is today. It seems as if the breed is considered established as it is in this moment and everyone forgot this breed almost dissapeared because of this certain attitudes but....
I also would like a response to the question you do in your post I'm eager to learn and I dont have the clue

In Germany and many other countries you are not allowed to use him, since he has coloured parents.
by Ironbabe on 14 August 2009 - 18:08
yes, we are not allowed to use obi and his offsprings in germany... when his grand-grand-children are available for stud, we can use those to import his lines...
so other breeders in other countries do need to make the first step to import the dogs and breed with them.
or you go ahead with your breeding program and ensure that only white dogs are mated and in 3rd generation we might be able to import directly to germany if the have fci pedigree.
what i do not understand is, that there is a circular and still lots of countries no not care about this.... and the fci seems not to care either...

Do the puppies of HASNA OF SKAH DAKOTA have an official pedigree even if it's 4 generation incomplete?
Is it different in The Netherlands. He is grandson of OBI.
