saw an ad on this board for "at stud" $350.00 Well, guess I wanted to see how special a $350 stud was with no titles and no OFA. Oh, forgot to mention...he is 1 year old. I will cut and paste the email I sent and the reply I got. Anyone care to educate these folks? Here is her email address and her reply to my question.

Heatherd 2@yahoo.com

He is AKC &UKC Registered and we show him UKC right now and he is doing excellent in that. He has no working titles because there is nowhere within a 3 hour drive to even find a group to join to start training him. Are you interested in breeding? Or just felt like emailing to be rude?

I have a Galant P.S. daughter who is a working law enforcement certified cadaver dog. Question : have you done preliminary hips and elbows OFA on your pup? Why are you offering a 1 year old , untitled dog for stud?

Maybe you should give the local rescue groups a heads up to be ready to take in another litter of pups.

Maybe we just need to try to educate her.. seriously she seems to have the right attitude and doing her best with the knowledge she has.. since she is showing her dogs in UKC , she in her mind is making a serious attempt to have good dogs. She just needs someone to educate her. I will admit it is possibly she is just off the wall and trying to make a quick dollar.

1 word "deterioration" Of the breed.

I don't think asking me if I'm just being rude is a way to attract owners or potentia;lcustomers. No I am not interested in her dog. Wonder if

she would offer a 1 year old child  out for stud!!  ?Still, what about OFA prelims? I wonder if she even knew what OFA is

I agree... But I did just send her an email explaining why she was making a mistake in her breedings. Hopefully she will wise up but at least we can try to help her.. Will advise how she responds back.

DesertRangers, I really hope she listens to you. lets hope to god she does her homework and research before breeding this dog.

I  just traveled 1600 miles to certify my cadaver dog. All out of pocket . Martin, S. Dakota is far far away.

Why not buy 1 titled female and start that way? My guess is she is in it for the money.

I honestly think she might but all we can do is try and hope she is intelligent and really wants to be a good breeder/trainer or whatever. it will be interesting if and how she responds back to me plus i was polite to her.
