I purchased a puppy in December 2006 from the Z litter 10/3/2006 ( Archangel German Shepherds).  This puppy has major genetic defects.  Please contact me if you also purchased a puppy from the Z litter.  There were 11 pups in all.  My puppy has a floating rib, one testicle, severe hip dyplasia, severe elbow dysplasia, along with abnormal tongue/gum formation.  This puppy is only 8mos. Breeder refused refund or return of pup for another.  I have spent over one thousand dollars on tests and pain medication.  This has been the worst experience with a breeder ever.   This litter is registered with the AKC as having no defects, I have filed all the medical records to update this litter with the AKC, SPC and UKC.

Can we see the pedigree of this litter please?

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. I looked up the dam's pedigree and the bad hips do NOT surprise me at all. The dam is line bred on Gim 4-2  and Ben z Bolfu 4-3 "NOT GOOD" Ben had bad hips. Good Luck in getting everything straightened out!

This has been horrible the worst part is we are left with putting this little guy down.  Loss of the money is bad too, but to put 6 months into a pup and have this occur is just insane.

Any advise of what to look for in the pedigree?  Also these 2 dogs are being bred again, is there anything out there to stop this?

Thanks for looking at the pedigree and letting me know some information, we are looking for another puppy but have no idea where to look for a german shepherd so that we do not have to go through this again. We are out of California

Go to this web site, they are breeding these 2 dogs again.

These are the parents of my little guy.   Anyone with advice on when to know that its time to put the pup down would be appreciated.  It is probably now, but any help.  One of his back legs scraps the ground and he cannot get comfortable for long

So sorry to hear of your poor pup!!!  I have been working with an excellent breeder in CA who is one of the "Top 10 breeders in America"  She has been absolutely fantastic to work with and we look forward to getting our pup in August.  Since you are out of CA, I thought I would mention her and give you her website address: http://www.alcazarzwinger.com  She just sold a wonderful litter of Schutzhund prospects.  Good luck and know that we grieve with you in your loss...

Thank you.  I will check the web site .  What makes this worse is that in Feb. of this year my 12 y/o shepherd died.  This dog helped thorugh that time, and to have to go through this all over again with an 8 month old is just insane.  This breeder was reccomended to us by law enfrocement.  Thanks again for taking the time to write

this is terrible...they should not be breeding those two again!  Everyone should email this breeder...this makes me so mad.  Maybe we can post it on all of the forums so more people are aware of this.

I am so sorry about your little pupy :o(  When its time for the little guy to go...your 12 year old will be there waiting for him.
