| German Shepherd Dog | VA10 Hannie vom Team Fiemereck SCHH3 | Zala's ZW may drop with more X-rayed progeny. Just like Jeck - the more Normal hips he produces, the lower the ZW. I don't know which ZW is better or worse until we see what the dogs are actually producing. People have X-rayed many dogs that are Fast Normal (almost normal)and they x-ray OFA good. Typically the "a" stamp is taken when the dogs are 1 year old - OFA 2 years. I've known of quite a few dogs that are "normal" at 1 year and do not pass OFA at 2 years. The main point is to see what the dogs are producing and hope for the best. As long as a dog has an "a" stamp (no matter what the rating) they can be VA. Zala's ZW etc was not held against her. You'd have to attended the Sieger Show and watch her whole performance from beginning to end and hear the judge's critique to know why she placed where she did. High V is pretty darn good!
