If you are going to lock a Thread saying it has to be moved to Off Topic, then why not just move it then & there?!

I worked very hard upon a reply, only to have it disappeared by the system, & thus permanently lost.

I gave an explanation of the Electoral College. That America is NOT a Democracy, but a Representative Republic. Most American's do not understand how this actually works, let alone any readers here from other nations.

TWC, as a former mod on a work-related board, I can tell you, moving topics around is not easy. It takes time and you have to be careful.

western rider said he'd move the post WHEN HE HAD TIME to do it.

It was my understanding the moving the Thread was based upon the outcome of whether or not what Rik said was going to be allowed to stand or not.

Yes, I can understand, depending upon how the Forum system for a site is set up, it could take more effort to move a Thread on some websites than others.

Whatever, I am still annoyed I lost a post I spent a lot of time & effort upon. :(

I did need time to move it I also wanted others to know where it went if they felt like posting to it.

When I moved it there was only one comment posted to it and TWC it was not yours. I have no idea where yours went.
