Well, to be fair, that's just ONE of an uncountable total number of things that piss me off...that kids went hungry in the US yesterday, and again today, and will do so again tomorrow, pisses me off as well. I have no limitations as to the number of things that can and do piss me off. My grandparents had to learn the common language of this country, after they came here from Poland in their late teens, and no one printed up govenrment documents in Polish so they could read and understand them...'press 1 for English' is NOT followed by, 'press X__ for language____' with thousands of other language options, and THAT'S what I object to.

What pisses me off is Hungary claimed they ran out of money and aid for refugees and so kept them herded up like animals waiting for slaughter...then have the nerve to refuse aid from the UN for the refugees...not to mention having police preventing citizens from giving food and water. Those have got to be the Most cold heart people on earth....refusing to help and PREVENTING aid from being given. They better hope they never need help again.

With ALL the damn money we GIVE to all these other countries and people in our own country don't have anything to eat...That is just unforgivable...Not even saying the Children...

Adults can get some kind of job if they are able...but they've now learned to just sit on their butts and the government will send them our money...You want a government hand out...then you should be willing to do something...Mow grass for the government...or pick up garbage...something...

We give Food Stamps and stuff...but then it's used for things other then Food...This just shouldn't be...

I'm pissed-off at our government for not taking care of our people...including the Vets...who have to beg for things...

Just shouldn't be...

Q Man is so funny that you say that... Portugal have elections next month and when question about the refugees problem one of the opposition party liders sayd "We have work for then in our forest for example" people almost killed him in the public square... But if we have a real problem here with fires every single summers because people are disgusting and there is trash and untamed or clean vegetation everywhere, what is the problem there? it solves two problems at once... it creates jobs and it allows us to receive/help some refugees... right?...

The fact that a certain political party (not Obama's) is perfectly fine with sending millions of our tax dollars over to Israel to pay for their universal health care which incidentally covers all birth control and has the most liberal abortions laws of any country, is MIND BLOWING when they fight using our tax dollars for the same in this country?????  The disconnect between the two boggles the mind.  We also continue to have children go to school hungry and politicians stop programs that feed these children a breakfast and lunch.  Poor nutrition is linked to cognitive deficits that are life long and these are the children that will be taking care of our country and us in the future.  I would think we would want these future care takers of us and our country to have the best education and nutrition so that we will benefit in the long run........

My parents families came to this country from Germany, Finland, and Norway, they all had to learn English.  My mom was sent to high school knowing no English and expected to learn and keep up or drop out, no special tutoring or classes in her native German.  I used to drive through a town in Florida called Palmetto where the billboards were in Spanish and the stores had Spanish listed first and in tiny print, English underneath, same with a few stores in Bradenton, which of course were boycotted until they put the titles of items in English. I was raised with the cultural traditions of Germany, Finland, and Norway, but mostly Germany.  I see no reason to dismiss anyone's culture when they immigrate here, just don't expect special accommodations like taking a driver's license picture wearing a hijab and niqab because that is part of your religion or expect to be able to send your daughters to your native country for FMG or have the doctor you brought over do it here (yes, had experiences with the after math of that and honor killings while a medic/ff).

As for adults getting some kind of job, yup if they are able and there are job available.  Don't forget the cost of day care if the person happens to be a single mom (most of my paycheck went to daycare).  I am all for a living wage, that means an hourly wage that allows enough money to pay bills, buy groceries, medications, and set up savings for emergencies and retirement.  Living wage in Manatee County Florida is $11.65 for a single adult, one adult with 2 dependent children is $27.17.  Minimum wage there is $7.93.  Explain how someone is to live and take care of children on that wage?

Yes there are those who take advantage of the government subsidies, but from what I have read, they are few when compared to the number of people who need the temporary help.  Keep in mind one adult can only receive a lifetime limit of 60 months on government assistance.  Instead of punishing those who need the help, lets find out why there are freeloaders who don't want to work and love scamming the system, then take them off the government assistance.  It's like this current knee jerk reaction to opoiod medication abuse, instead of spending money to broaden the access to quality mental health care, lets tighten the laws and make getting pain medication for legitimate pain difficult.  Like I said before, logic is in short supply in politics.  I would love to see a politician have to pass a logic exam!!!!!
