This is a little different than the "daily quotes" from the other thread~ I'm looking for things a little bit "deeper" ~heartfelt quotes or poems ~ food for thought~ Even a thoughtful picture or lyrics to a song~ I've been reading a little poetry lately, I find it interesting so please share some of your favorites~

Funny you chose that particular quote. My cousin lost his 26 year old son on New Year's Eve. They thought it was an aneurysm, but the autopsy was inconclusive, no cause of death listed. No drugs or alcohol in his sytem, the shower was running, he was on the bathroom floor. Somebody from work alerted his fiance when he didn't show up and that's how he was found. Anyway, my cousin just posted that on FB the other day and it made my heart ache for him, his wife and their daughter, I just can't imagine losing one of my children, I can never understand how one can get up the next morning, let alone the rest of your life :(
Good thread :)

A friend is one that knows you as you are, understands where you have been, accepts what you have become, and still, gently allows you to grow.
~ William Shakespeare ~

That quote is wonderful Travels~ This type of thing is exactly what I was hoping for in starting the thread. It seems like life gets more "thoughtful" at certain times in ones life. Reflecting on the unique way in which some have the ability to express thought, feeling, emotion, and such can be almost therapeutic; at least for me it is~
I am sorry to hear about your cousins loss. As you said, it is hard to imagine such a loss. </3

“I was never one to patiently pick up broken fragments and glue them together again and tell myself that the mended whole was as good as new. What is broken is broken, and I’d rather remember it as it was at its best than mend it and see the broken pieces as long as I lived”
-Margaret Mitchell
