That was exactly my reaction, total disbelief. This world was a better place with him in it, such a loss for all of us.

He had issues with major depression. RIP the world will be a bit less funny without him.

I was in shock when i heard it too.....one of my absolute favorite actors...."what dreams may come" is my favorite movie...i just can't believe it was a suicide.....
well this happens in 3's....

Apparently he was also diagnosed with Parkinson's which he was having an especially hard time with. From the description of how he completed his suicide, he was determined. He was fighting for his sobriety and had checked himself in a couple times. Close friends say he was socially awkward and was very self conscious which makes sense when you realize he used comedy as a shield. Toward the end according to close friends and family, he had emotionally checked out and was distant to everyone, polite but distant. How sad that he ended up in a place where the only option he felt he had was to end his pain. Prayers to his family and friends...
