Last night on one of the Tv Talks, they said it is being speared by the media , and given FIRST priority to stalk USA and scare the people into another Phase of  Mass Media Destruction...

Just wait and see and lets all just hope that our USA Scientists and excellent Doctors who try to find antibodies to combat this even if they use these two as Guinea Pigs so to speak , to find the halting factor in this VIRUS

I disagreed with bringing them home now, and not sending a entourage of Doctors and Scientists over to them..but we do not know all the facts as to the conditions and availability of clean and proper buildings and places to set up such an environmental lab for studying and curing these two Americans so I guess getting them home where their families are, is next best..What would we think if it were our husband, father , sister or wife and brother???

Medical science has already stated, the condition of a happy and calm reassurance to the body helps the immune system fight..and being at home in USA  ,with encouragement will be a factor in the body working to heal itself..Positive begats positive in our minds and we only hope for the best to maybe lead the way to a cure.

Fear, doubt , uneasiness, stress and the knowing what they have because they are doctors, only impedes the body being in rest to fight this little known about virus.

I agree they are using it to scare people.

Ebola has been around a long time. More than one strain exists and there have been outbreaks many times before. It has also been stored and studied by the US Military and CDC both to create treatments and explore as a military weapon. I can remember reading about it decades ago.
It tends to burn out. People die quickly after contracting it or suvive and don't carry the virus around if they survive. It is also not an airborne virus yet at least.

This movie from 1995 was based on Ebola and books also exist based on Ebola.

Ebola was first documented by WHO in 1976 in Zaire.  There are 5 species of Ebola, - Zaire (1976 EBOV), Sudan (1976 SUDV), Reston (1989 RESTV), Tai Forest/Cote d'Ivoire (1994 TAFV), and Bundibugyo (2007 BDBV).  Reston is the only specie that is airborn and it only effects Monkeys (it was discovered in Reston VA at the "Monkey House" a monkey housing facility used by laboratories).  Ebola is only contagious once the carrier shows pretty distinct symptoms (incubation is from 2-12 days) and then only if blood/body fluids from the infected person contact your mucous membranes.  It is harder to contract than AIDs or Hepatitis.  The Dr. Brantley and Ms. Writebol were given an experimental vaccine prior to coming here and seem to be doing ok.  The precautions taken were pretty extensive.  The plane is a specially outfitted Biosafety Level 4 for contagious disease patient transport, the landing was on the military base with tight Biosafety level 4 gear.  The transport and facility in the hospital are all Biosafety Level 4 which is the most stringent of all biosafety levels and there is very little risk the virus would escape from a BL 4 facility.  When I was part of the HazMat team, I was the bio person and studied quite a bit on biological agents.  While Ebola scares the bejesus out of me, the precautions taken are more than effective......
