Any way to get these damned google ads deleted? They are superimposed over some of the posts and I can't read them.

Sure I can make all the ads go away. If every member is willing to pay a small fee to use this site.

Anyways, there are a few ways u can do it to limit ads...easiest way is to just opt out...without changing your browser..
here is how to opt out....it will not eliminate all ads but will limit their interaction w/ u.
Click on x (not all ads will have it, just wait till u get that option)..than u get 2nd image that says "ad muted" click on ads settings and opt out...should help out...

Right the more that opt out and the more that block well I think you are smart enough to figure out what will happen to this site. But hey I never help. I just spent weeks figuring out why members were having problems with the editor.
So opt out all you want and watch sites like this disappear or have to charge a fee for usage. I really don't think people realize how much this site costs to put on the internet.

I was having the same problem, and turning the ad off did not allow me to see the text it was covering.
I think Google is in the process of fine-tuning the ads to work with different browsers, because I am no longer having that problem, unless someone posts a picture that stretches the margins of the page.

It's annoying to not be able to read the entire post due to an ad. Right now I am not seeing that, so maybe it's ok now. I'm not here much these days, so I like to be able to read the posts that interest me without an ad in the way.
BTW, disabling the spell check seems to be taking care of my problem. Thanks for the suggestion.

I had Oli disable the SCAYT for everyone so you shouldn't have to touch a thing. I have also asked Oli to look at the ads and see if there is something he can do on his end.
