Mine would be Gin (Tanqueray) & Tonic (with lime). Or a beer!

A dry Gin and Tonic is a fine drink, and must have a twist of lime.
But I only enjoy them in the summer.
A beer is good any old time but I'm picky about my beer, PBR is my preference and has been for quite some time.
In the winter I like a little more heat and used to drink Yukon Jack straight from the bottle on those hoary nights..
Now I've discovered the excellence of a single malt Scotch and have made Glenlivet my favorite.
Seems a far distance from all the crap I drank as a kid, the Night Train Express, Mad Dog, Ripple and Boones Farm.
The Sterling beer that is no longer, once made in my home town, I can still smell the Hops coming from the old brewery.
I used to like a High Ball but seldom find one made right anymore, same with my Buttered Rum, they changed it on me.

Oh well,
bottoms up.

Moons here is a link to an article on Sterling Beer. Evidently they are brewing it again.

Yeah,
I know about this but trust me it's gone.
The brewery was leveled many years ago and with it the times.
It was one of the most beautiful buildings in Evansville, historic, now theres a red brick box with satellite dishes of the roof in it's place.
Seriously, the smell will never leave my memory, even though the beer wasn't all that great..lol

Bourbon or Tennessee whiskey, neat.  With dinner, red wine.

ML and Moons, I love a gin and tonic with a twist of lime, but only in the summer and only on the beach.  I don't know why but that's the only drink I crave on the beach and it's also the only time I crave that particular drink.  I've always thought it strange Thinking

I'm not much of a drinker.  I've been a migraine sufferer most of my life (for the past ten years, I've gotten the aura, but not the pain.  I'll take the trade!) and typically, I don't do anything that produces a headache in any form.

On the rare occasions when I have felt like tying one on, my drink of choice has been tequila, a nice gold, either straight up or mixed with grapefruit juice.  I don't mess around.

My father is a connoisseur, collecting fine liqueurs in his travels and from relatives.  Italian wines and French wines, Limoncello, bourbon filled chocolates (yummy), German ales, Irish whiskey, you name it, he's tried it and he might have some in the liquor cabinet.  And no, he's not an alcoholic, he's just Italian and an after-dinner drink is just life, LOL.  Anyway, suffice to say I've done my share of tasting.

But hands down, my favorite drink is Bailey's in coffee, with a dab of fresh-whipped, unsweetened cream on top ---> especially on a snowy winter night, after a brisk walk.

OMG, I think we were all weaned on the same garbage, but you forgot one, Pink Catawba!  Boones Farm Strawberry Hill, UGH.  Funny thing was, I knew it was garbage, I'd been tasting real wine since childhood, at the dinner table :), but it was sure affodable, buck eighty-nine, LOL

Hi moons, welcome back, hope youe eye heals well.

Ive not had a drink of alcohol since Dec.1973.
Before that I drank beer,  Your Sterling beer could not have held a candle
To the Molson X and Labbats 50. Canadian beer.

Boones Farm. We used to buy that when we were under aged, it was at one time only $.99 a bottle. I stopped drinking it when I found out it had formaldehyde as a preservative. YUK

Gouda I love Molson's Beer. the Ale is good but the beer is great. Since my wife is Canadian I usually get up there a few times a year. They have the Ale around here but the beer is hard to find. Are you a hockey fan, Toronto?

Travels my wife used to get severe migraines almost daily. I read somewhere that a tablespoon of local unrefined honey a day would stop them. She has been taking honey for several years and no more headaches. You might want to try it. Worked right from day one.

Ruger, hopefully a few people post some recipes for some Holiday special drinks.

I got the next round. LOL
