It's not your fault but that is so typical of ABC news.
You wont understand my disapproval probably, and I don't have time to explain right now.

These studies on emotions and cognition have been going on for years and are causing problems to those who research using animals, circuses and other animal shows, dog and horse racing practices, and zoos especially those without enrichment programs. Anyone who has a good relationship with their animals has known all along what emotions their animals are capable of. This makes animal cruelty even more horrific when you think about animal emotions and cognition. On the other hand, it makes rescues and happy endings even more amazing.....

"Whether the wolfs idea of love is the same as humans is a topic still
hotly debated between scientists" ...
hopefully not on the 'public purse' !!
Good Grief. Save us !!

The other links are even worst, ibtimes wouldn't even let me back out until the commercials were over, I had to exit by force.
They trivialize and who in the hell are these educated?, people anyway.
They kept talking about stress associated with wolves howling.
Yeah someone had a grant I'm sure of that.
None of these people know anything about animals if this is the best they can do.
Animals feel things, they communicate, and the higher their intelligence the easier it is to see.
As for wolves, there are as many reasons for howling as there are different howls, same for a coyote, same for our dogs, even primates, birds, most animals vocalize and is has meaning.
Not to mention Whales, Elephants, Dolphin, even insects communicate with each other, you might think I'm nuts but I believe plants communicate with one another, as do individual cells to other cells, there is a communication going on.
Typically this is what ABC gives you instead of real news, they distract you from everyday events.
What's worst, they put their own little spin on everything.
Just like rescues are not all happy endings.
On a side note,
I'd like to smack Diane Sawyer upside the head just once, I can't stand that phony bitch.

But Diane Sawyer had great plastic surgery. I can't stand Laura Logan of CBS (although what she endured in Cairo's Tahrir Square was horrible and no one should go through that).

Since our government and the corporations took away free signal broadcasting in America I don't get any CBS channels, all I can do is go online and that's also very limited content.
The public was totally left out of that decision and who knows what the government plans to do with all that wave length.
What I hate about Diane Sawyer and this would probably apply to others is the insincere facial expressions and false emotion.
Something's wrong with that woman's eyes too by the way.
And then there is the spin, something that should not be in a news piece, an editorial maybe but not the news.
Oh well, that's old news, water under the bridge.
These people who get these grants to study stupid shit also make me angry, especially when it's coming from government and not private.
Intelligence is not having your nose in a book for years trying to remember it or where it's at, it is a collection of both data and if you will, facts, and practical observation and experience.
Then knowing how and when to put it to use.
These studies presented are rediculas.
