OMG. My dogs just met the new neighbors' chickens.

I think they got away. But there is a pile of feathers on the lawn. I about wet myself screaming! Boy— Beau almost had 'em. Still panting and looking happy to go back out there.

OOOOOMmmmmmphhhhh.

LOOOOOL....nothing like a brand new, fluffy, squawking toy!
His purpose in life just got altered...wait till he eats one...it will be better than squirrels..LOOOL
Lucky for him Chickens have short term memory disability, they will be back....

We found one. There are two others still out there....somewhere. They just seemed to have disappeared! I have no idea how to catch a chicken even if we find it. Beau is rather pleased with himself, I can tell.

LOL....... chicken soup.

You catch chickens by the leg, with a hook on a pole.
Look up Bee, chickens will take to the trees to avoid a predator sometimes.

LMAO !!

Now try this,

My chicken pole is made with better stronger wire attached to a pole about four feet long.

Try some scraps.. Chickens are greedy things, I always am able to get mine up with food..  I'd go tell the neighbor to come get them and that your dog will kill them if in your yard..

I bet your like the first girl Erin, chasing chickens...hehehehe

by beetree on 21 October 2013 - 17:10

Moons, that was very interesting and might be useful in the future! LMAO

The good new is, all the chickens have been found! My neighbor just called to tell me. Apparently, the wife went and bought another chicken before the third one returned, so their kids wouldn't be upset when they got home from school. So, now they have 4 chickens! And the new chicken is being pecked by the other chickens so she might have to get another one?

Any way they asked us not to let their kids know that Beau almost ate their "pet" chicken because they have met Beau and like him. He just moved the chickens in today I guess, and doesn't have his coop enclosed but I am sure he will get to it right away. He said his wife will be giving us some eggs!

Erin,
chickens on the porch may very well be a status symbol in your neck of the woods.....LOL
Ye haw
I love it !!

When my son was much younger he had a favorite more or less pet chicken that he would bring in the house to watch television with him, she'd sit on his lap enjoying the attention.
