What other animals do you all own? - Page 1

So anyone raise or keep any other types of animals, besides dogs? And what is the strangest / most exotic animals have you owned?


I have horses, goats, some scraggly barn cats, a rabbit.. a seriously naughty ass and a slight chicken obsession... My dad brought home a peccary (spelling?) when we were kids to raise.. Adult life, I raised orphan skunks, opossums and had an obese raccoon, that had an injury that prevented her from being released back into wild.. Oh, I also had a vulture that I picked up hit by car as juvenile, he hung around a while.. Funny seeing people's faces as the noticed a vulture wandering in the yard with my chickens LoL..

It is hot and humid, I'm done till the sun goes down.

I dunno how many critters we've had over the years, no skunks I can tell you that, friends who had one ended up needing rabies shots.

No vultures but one Great Horned owl, plenty of everything else though same as you, horse's cows chickens etc.

Exotic,
maybe the exotic pheasants or the Mouflon sheep.
One Timber wolf cross, various fox and mink.

Strange,
might have been a Blue Slate turkey, powder blue.
One Timber Rattle snake.

It would take a while to make out a full list.

Right now just three GSD's.

check out the response of the horse to the pups after 45 seconds, wrong year in clip title they not 12 mo yet. i also got some steers i am paying to graze on someone else's property, use them for food and to start a training herd for my dogs. i want to raise goats, chickens and hounds when i can afford a big enough place out in the mountains. up to recently also had some very old hermit crabs.

I had crabs once, some blonde down in Florida gave them to me as a gift....LOL

lol that was 7yrs ago. Now, my daughter is 14yrs old, and is the only freshman on the Girl's Varsity Volley Ball Team. She is #10 2nd from end, with her knee up.

Time has a way of slipping away faster than we would like.

It's been that long?

VK, those are some rough playing pups! LoL.. Your horse seems to tolerate that rough housing well, around his feet.. My stud colt and my donkey have a tendency to try and stomp the crap out of my dogs..
 Moons, I could deal with all your past critters, but the snake.. Funny thing, when I worked for animal control years ago in San Bernardino county, we actually would get a few rattle snakes confiscated from drug bust houses a year.. I DON'T DO SNAKES, want to see me run screaming like a b!t@#, show me a snake ;) .. I could get down with the foxes though!!
Abhay, I love owls, they are super cute as babies and so  pretty when grown.. Your girl is beautiful, I bet you have your hands full, keeping the boys away!! I couldn't do the tiger or big cats though.. I mean, my house cat goes bat crap crazy for no reason, attacking feet at 3 a.m, couldn't imagine how an actual wild cat behaves.. LoL.. I love looking at them, but I'd be too chicken to actually be near one! There is this strange guy who has this backyard zoo over here, he has all kinds of big cats, and grizzly bears, all in chain link type fencing!! He talks with an Australian accent, but my husband went to school with the guy, said was born and raised small town Alabama.. LoL.. Guess he thinks he is the reincarnate Steve Irwin?? I'm just waiting to see an episode of Fatal Attractions based on his crazy self..
