Today Panasonic announced that the world’s first 4K tablet will be available in Europe, Japan, and USA, with European shipments starting during November. The Panasonic Toughpad 4K will enable photographers, architects, cinematographers and other creative professionals to experience the cutting edge of high resolution tablet technology. Since this tablet is pen-enabled, its capabilities extend beyond the amazing viewing capabilities afforded by its 3,840 x 2,560 (beyond 4K Ultra HD) screen resolution.

From my first-hand experiences with near-production versions of the Panasonic Toughpad 4K, I can say that the 230 PPI screen is absolutely amazing and it makes diagrams, text, pictures, and video look incredible. The pen included with the Panasonic Toughpad 4K utilizes a special technology to achieve pixel-perfect accuracy. This positional precision is complemented by 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity which yields a high-fidelity pen input capability for writing, sketching, and UI input.

Here are some specs for the Panasonic Toughpad 4K:

  • Model: Toughpad UT-MB5
  • Screen: 3,840 x 2,560, 15:10 aspect ratio, 20” diagonal
  • CPU: Intel Core i5 vPro
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 745M
  • RAM: 4GB or 8GB
  • Storage: 128GB or 256GB SSD
  • Weight: 5.18 lb

Panasonic is calling the Toughpad 4K “business rugged” which means it’s capable of exceeding traditional consumer tablet durability expectations. In the first quarter of 2014 Panasonic is also releasing a high-performance version of this tablet (UT-MA6) which will offer greater performance for applications like 3D simulation and CAD design.

If you are looking for a tablet that can enhance your creative workflow, you should keep an eye on the Panasonic Toughpad 4K! Stay tuned here as I am planning more coverage of this exciting new PC. If you want to know more about this tablet now, you can visit the UK Panasonic website.

*Update: overview on availability:
Europe: Available November 2013
Japan: Availability will be announced September 2013
USA: Availability will be announced November 2013

It is a pick and choose type of thing. Only the science he wants to believe are true the rest are just wrong. Right Shtal? The earth is only a few thousand years old, right Shtal? The universe is only a few thousand years old, right Shtal? Carbon dating is wrong, right Shtal? It is the art of pick and choose science, right Shtal?

GSD_Admin,

Don't even start your BS.... I will ask you this simple math question what do you mean by science; I mean we use the word but what do we mean by it, what would your answer be? You see if you look up the root meaning of the word science it means knowledge and the thing you need to be careful out here is distinguishing between different sources of knowledge. Good example is there could be atheist that are the great scientists because they do observational science, in the present, five senses, help built space shuttle or help built whatever it could be, you know what I mean; so we can honor scientists who do that kind the work. But when they start talking origin of science that is the different source of science, that we would call historical science, it believes about the past that we weren’t there. And what you need to be careful is that often people are discussing science sometimes mixing historical and observation together and we need to learn to separate them out.

Here is good observational science.

Interesting that how other people jump the guns in my thread cuz I tell people that evolution is a religion, and here is a good reminded what evidence speaks. Another example here about moon.
Moon goes around the earth and gradually getting farther away, we slowly loosing the moon, it’s leaving us couple inches a year.No big deal, nothing to worry about, plus nothing you could do about it anyway. But the moon is getting farther from the earth – every day.So that means it used to be closer. If you bring a moon closer you will start to create a problem – because the moon causes the tides. If the moon was closer - then the tides will be higher. There is a law called “The Inverse Square Law” If you brought the moon 1/3 distance, you take 1/3 flip it over and square it – it’s nine times gravitational pull. If you know the math on this, you find out – the moon and the earth will be almost together 1.4 billions years ago. (Like Crashing on each other)
