Does that mean you read the article?

Why, yes, I did! I am glad I do not buy my plants from Home Depot and Lowes! I will have to sign the petition or write a letter, or something! It is terrible!

I still see bees in my garden. Not sure what kind they are ... I need to take a picture, maybe? Whatever is happening? Now, the news here has me worried about the invasive Green Ash borer that was just found up North. I have some of those trees and it would be Broken Heart to lose them. Someone will probably want to dump a load of pesticides all over the forests now, too. More out-of-whack eco-systems, coming right up.

We have the Ash borer here in the Hoosier National Forest, they monitor it and won't allow the importation of firewood into the camp grounds.
Your right, there is too much use of pesticides everywhere, city and country alike.

DNR has been spraying a park on the Ohio river bank here for an invasive plant.
How would that effect anything except the few acres they spray, it's a long river and seeds travel.
The source of our drinking water by the way.
A waste of money and effort unless they were treating the entire Ohio valley all the way to the gulf.

Ash makes wonderful firewood green or seasoned.

We follow the suggestions of our and thus keep our garden free from these insects. Although bees are alwys present for pollination and they do not harm the plants as well.

We have more mosquitos this year than I've ever seen since moving from Fl nearly thirty years ago...the bats are also gone now. I saw a humming bird about three days ago, the first in years. We had to hand pollinate our peppers this year, got tons of peppers on each plant...usually only one or two per plant. Have not seen any bees this year to speak of....we have been here twenty years at this place, never use pesticides, but can't say the same for the rest of the community.

Mosquitoes have been a major problem here too this year.
Bat's have their own problems and are just as important, they all are connected in one way or another.
