Apparently this house is owned by Marco Rubio and is on the market:

The asking price is a good $200K more than the valuation of most of the neighboring houses. I will tell you he ain't going to get much house in the DC metro area for that sort of money unless he wants a really long commute.

You know, I never knew who this guy was until today. Seems quite endearing to me, and the sip of water, well, what would you do if you were thirsty? LOL

I hate his house however, so I wouldn't pay anything for it. There is a house out there for everyone though, I learned that. And good thing it is.

He's not very well liked here in FL.

by beetree on 15 February 2013 - 01:02

Well, I think he is a Republican, isn't he? That would do it, in Florida, lol

by keepthefaith on 15 February 2013 - 12:02

bee, you are obviously not a Republican - or a political junkie - because Rubio is considered to be a potential savior of the Republican party. He is a darling of the Tea Party crowd, he is Hispanic, well spoken,  conservative and telegenic. He is likely to run for the Republican nomination in 2016.

I agree that way too much was made about the way he reached for water during his response for the SOTU. Am surprised that something that was so carefully scripted had his bottle of water beyond his immediate reach.

Don't like his house based on the pics ......... and definitely did not like the furnishings. Someone said that the furniture may have been rented to stage the house.

KTF, at one time, I think I was a Republican. But truthfully, I am most likely an independent. You got that right though, I am not, and never will be a political junkie. I hate politics and politicians on the whole. I view them as a "necesssary evil".

What can I say, this guy does have a certain charisma, and that must be what makes him a successful politician (liar). LOL

The savior of the Republican party?

Another clown that I wouldn't ever vote for.

What's wrong with the Republicans anyway?

by keepthefaith on 15 February 2013 - 19:02

So is there anyone you would support/vote for, Moons?

Honestly?

No, not anymore.

Both parties are so corrupt and the idea of an independent only looks good on paper.

I'd like to see a working man, not a millionaire.
Not someone who wears his religion on his sleeve, preferably an atheist.
He can't be owned by either party or the lobbyists.
Someone who is not already a politician but who knows how to get things done.
I'd like to see the system change and restrict the use of money in a campaign.
Resume's sent to registered voters and no TV commercials, only a few debates.
An educated man, but more common sense and less degree.

Face it, we only have the choice of which idiot the two parties place before us, which is no choice at all.

It certainly would not be Rubio, or Hillary.

Point of fact,
it's more important who our representatives are than who sit's in the Whitehouse.

Of course they are all bought and sold too sooner or later.
The system has to change.
