SitusMom, you have once again uncovered important hidden news. Good work on this. The story you have found makes sense.  I have no working knowledge of the actual setup in Libya after their color revolution or whether a new temporary consulate was set up away from Tripoli so I can't confirm the claims of this story in full.  

However, It is my understanding that Chris Stevens was murdered while at a safe house, not at the American Embassy.  This would support what you have uncovered.  There are valid reports that Libyan officials warned the US State Dept at least 48 hours in advance of violence suspected to occur toward American diplomats. 

If someone from the diplomatic corp is attacked at a safe house which is always a secret unpublic location (often used to run covert operations and intel work from as well as normal, scrambled diplomatic cables too), this means that someone on the inside probably had to have been in on it, suggesting betrayal by someone.

The sad thing is that Chris Stevens was known as a an arabist, that is, an expert on the middle east and the different Arab groups there, and he was known to be a good negotiator and mediator, a real peacemaker, one of the good guys.  His death is a loss for all parties including the Libyans as well as the Americans.

the information about the safe house came out about the day after it occurred, so yes, that indicates there was a warning ahead of time and also indicates there was a leak about the ambassador's location.  also of interest, is the fact that this attack was led by a released prisoner of gitmo.  the you-tube video is being blamed for the attack rather than admitting that the attack was led by an ex-gitmo prisoner.  constant diversions

Ziegenfarm, I checked and you are correct on the gitmo connection (which informed sources say is used as a place to mindkontrol folks to become "robotic/remmote controlled terrorists" after which they are released to go into service). This then makes the murder of Chris Stevens look like a staged, false-flag attack.

Here is another American Hero who has come forward.  Gweneth Todd personally stopped a high level false flag attack and has been on the run for her life until lately, when other high level officials stepped in to take action, which is now in process. There are always two sides to any issue.  For the sake of balance here is one view from folks who are strongly anti-neocon and believe Romney is associated with them.  I have no idea if this is so or not.  Each reader must examine the available evidence and decide for themselves if interested in pursuing this.  Personally I supported Ron Paul because I find too many serious issues with both current nominees.  They both seem to be working for the same controllers, but each with a slightly different presentation.
