Well my son finally talked me into flying out to Portland, Oregon to visit him. Actually, he bought the ticket & said, "Come!" My DH is annoyed that I'm going, so he refuses to accompany me. He says he's staying home to take care of the dogs, which is good, too.
Anyway, I'm nervous; having not flown since 1995. Not so much about the flight, but of all the new security baloney. I packed the world's smallest carry on bag, & am getting ready to say good-bye to my dogs for a week.
Good thing he booked my seat near the on board facilities, tummy feels queasy already, ugh!
got my Xanax, & enough carry-on cash for libations (to settle the stomache, LOL) Got my boarding pass on my phone (?????). Hope that works!
So, see you later, & wish me luck....& wish Carl luck holding down the fort whilst I'm away, LOL!
jackie harris (of course it's gonna thunderstorm today, too, dammit!)

Just know they don't feed you like they used to... and yes you need to bring cash for a stiff drink in case your Xanax needs a boost.
If it is a non-stop flight you might actually get a meal and not just a bag of nuts. And don't worry your e-Ticket will work, LOL
Don't wear clothes with lots of metal... like overalls, LOL. And big belt buckles... and some earrings, hair accessories too! Wear your watch with the plastic or leather band. Wear slip on/off shoes.... and peds unless you don't mind standing around in bare feet at the airport... (yuk).
BE4U looks forward to the pat downs, I am sure I read where she's bragged about those, on here.
Bon Voyage! I hope it is a great trip!

'K, I'm back!
I had a really nice time & will post some pix when I get them all onto my 'puter.
And I must say, all the TSA folks were really sweet & helpful, both directions, the airline people (United) were very nice & uber helpful, & the Newark, NJ airport employees were the best, especially when DH LOST MY CAR in the massive airport parking lot, & drove us around while pressing the key fob until we found it, LOL! He's 81, & everything else was fine so.....(I was so worried when we were looking for it, but now.....)...ROTFLMAO!!!! jackie harris
