I have a lab in for training that is literally get on my nerves.  I actually shake ( not out of anger) when I have to get him out of the kennel.  The walls vibrate his bark is so loud and he NEVER stops.  What brand please?  He is a strong , strong dog his owners brought him in on a 4 inch wide collar. He is now on a thin prong, who knew the dog CAN walk on a leash.  He will need the zappiest of the zappy collars.  I have NEVER expereinced an animal with this LOUD of a bark. good golly

The Tri tronics Bark limiter is the best!!

I like sportdog.

I like rechargeable bark collars with batteries that can be replaced.  Because eventually the battery will go bad.

I like bark collars that require sound and vibration to be activiated - nothing like the barking of another dog to set off your dogs collar.

I like collars that have different settings - no sense turing it up if a something low will work.

And I like collars that will shut itself off if the dog contines to bark - just in case my dog is trying to tell me that Jimmy really has fallen into the well.

Thank you all for your advise.

If you are training him/her, why not use an E-collar so you have total control of the barking;  a TriTronics bark collar will activate when the dog barks, and it also keeps shocking if the dog keeps barking and carrying on.  Not a pretty site for a dog that does not stop barking ever.  With your E-collar you have the control.  BOL  Nan

Ear plugs for those times might be cheaper, easier, saner. wink

Bee,  I always have earplugs in :)  I groom to so when I am in the kennel I have a great set I wear around my neck :)  His bark is awful!  I have lots of screamers in, they don't bother me at all.  He has the deepest booming bark I have ever heard.  It literally hurts your nerves!    Anyhow he is wearing a tri tronics collar and doing well.  I did order one of the sportdog collars as I really like the features on it!
