I've been watching the swimming trials. What about you? Anyone going? It must be getting a bit exciting, I imagine, to be in London at this time!

There's quite a lot about it that is nerve-wracking; for instance, I would not want to be one of the people living in buildings which are going to have missile-launchers on their roofs.

What's neat is that the company my son is working for this summer as an IT analyst (he graduates this coming May and has interned for this company during his college career and they want to hire him when he graduates) designed and constructed most of the venues for the Olympics (http://www.ch2m.com/corporate/markets/facilities/assets/sport-london.pdf).

Very interesting, sounds like a great opportunity for your son, impressive. Big responsibility, too.

Thanks bee.  He had to go through a lot of steps to work this summer--background checks, many references, etc. because of the governement work that they do.

Who made the men's gymnastics team?

by Abhay on 16 July 2012 - 19:07

I will be glued to the Television for both the Men's and Women's 100M. I will be pulling for Carmilita Jeter.
I will also be very interested in the Men's 100M, to see if Justin Gatlin can hang with the Jamicans, Bolt and Blake.
Hyleas Fountain is my pick for the Gold in the Heptathlon.
Of course, my all time favorite, and who I will be praying for, is the one and only Lolo Jones.
She deserved the Gold in 2008, when disaster struck. Lolo, isn't what she was in 2008, but she is over due, and
Miracles happen at the Olympics.

Rock Thru the Ages! Awesome, OMG, I JUST LOVE IT

The history presentation was fantastic, I have to say, it had some global realness to it....
