Duke, this is actually a good topic. I have lived in all different areas. I believe when I lived in the country with my own field, I got lazy and stayed home a lot. Not skipping club functions, but for obedience and tracking etc. When you live in the suburbs and city, it forces you to go out to parks, schools, etc. to train. Every dog looks like a million dollars on their own field. Especially without distractions.

I live in a farmville with about 15 houses and lots of field, and it is easy to stay only there , lots of place, but like you say, very safe

Aw, I miss Prague.
I lived in Barandov, my family is in Dejvice-Bubenec and I worked in Holesovice as a security guard.

I dragged my dogs all over the city:escalators, subways, trams, busses.

Ok you wanna know a dirty trick? If you can't get into a public transportation vehicle due to rush hour, put on some sunglasses, put your dog on the right side and act like you are blind! A space always pops up...

yah I know... bad girl but heck I had to make it to work on time!

oh and a nice puppy you have there, from Ari? that was his kennel name as I remember corectly.

Very nice!  I like living in the city, I think it forces me to train and socialize a lot of things and makes it very easy to take my dogs anywhere.  When I was preparing a young dog for his BH I made the comment that we hadn't practice any of the traffic test portion and my TD told me not to worry.  Someone else chimed in and said I should practice certain exercises some judges like to use and the TD said I didn't need to because my dogs see bikes, kids, cars, anything with wheels whizzing past them on a daily basis while some of the dogs we train with have never had a pack of kids on bikes dart by them or been honked at in traffic.

Ah.  Great reminder.  Since I have moved to the country, I too have gotten lazy about the city training.

Thanks for the reminder.

Again, thanks for the reminder. I took one of my puppies for light city training this weekend. She did well too. She kept her head stuck to my leg like glue (and still tried to take everything in).
