Is the down out of motion and sit out of motion gone from the 2012 rules? I've been trying to research it and have found conflicting answers. I want to try for my female's BH in the fall but want to make sure I'm doing it correctly. Thanks!

They are not gone. What has been modified is that with both you pause for a moment while giving the command. The pause is very briefly.

I'm doing a BH in two weeks and the only change I plan on performing is going 15 after the sit (instead of 30 for both).  I do not understand this pausing thing and haven't had time to go see any other BHs being performed yet so I'm just going to perform the out of motion exercises as I always have.

So, for example.. Command, "sitz" with a very brief pause and then walk away 30 paces and the same with the "down"? Sorry, I'm brand new to the world of schutzhund and trying to learn all I can.

the "pause" is ambiguous. I heard one judge said "up to 3 seconds" in which case it isn't a "motion" exercise anymore. Also you only go 15 paces for the sit/motion before turning around. Still 30 before the down/recall.
There are also some changes on the long down. Used to be you lost all 10 points if the dog broke. Now it depends on when the dog leaves. If  after exercise 2  you get partial points

This still will be fine. I think the pause has been implemented to being more sucessful in the dog actual sitting or downing. As you know, first time handlers are nervous on trial day.... and of course there is Murphys Law :)

Yes, I'm already nervous. LOL! Not to mention, my female is very handler sensitive. So I have to get it together before our first trial.

Here is an example of someone doing the BH. This is a video that DENNI posted.. It is in the Training section on here...
