I couldn't tell from the review if that was a book that was anti special ops or pro special ops. My father was special ops for 15yrs and trained them for another 12. I hated it growing up because there were times you would wake up and your dad was just gone, and you had no idea where and when and if he would be back. One thing I do know is pro or anti special ops which ever this book is I am a firm believer that there are certain things the general population does not need to know. These guys are trained and trained well, we ask them to do things to keep us safe that probably 99% of the population would not have the stomach to do. I've grown up with these guys and believe me they are a different breed of person, however I believe we should train them well to do their job and then leave it at that, we don't need to know how they did it, most of us couldn't handle the answer, and after yrs of doing that job it does take a toll on those guys I know it did my father, and he isn't a monster at all as some people think they are. He is a very moral man, he has a definate code of honor that he follows and yes he has and would again kill to keep the rest of us safe. He dosen't talk about most of the stuff he's done and I don't ask, I just know he will always be my hero, better than superman, the one person I will always be able to count on. That said I can also see exactly what about his personality made the special ops in vietnam recruit him and the other guys in his unit. But again there are things we don't need to know. Sometimes it's better to say thank you and call it a day.
