Just a question, is a Showline (in the U.S.) determined by it's color? It seems as though anything other than a Sable or all Black is a classified as a show line.

What about Malinois? How are they determined to be a Show line or working line, pedigree?

In my mind, color means nothing, being able to work as a GSD or Mal was intended for, and represent the breed standard in the ring is all that matters.

No, It is determined by the lines behind the dog that created it. Gasp, show line dogs can work in the real world and not all of them are in the show ring for their lives. I do not call my sable show line a working line dog lol
