Ok so another Apple employee loses a phone at bar.  This samething happened a year or 2 ago.  They trace the phone to a guy apartment and impersonate being the San Francisco PD in hopes of getting the phone back.  Uh...oh....

So they were bluffing to get their phone back! I doubt the guy Calderon, who had the phone will press charges because he'll have to answer why he had the phone in the first place and why wasn't he trying to find the rightful owner. I mean really, not surprising at all. I got my son's ITouch back only because I offered a reward! We do what me must to get our stuff back, don't we? Obviously since the Apple investigator used to be in the SFPD, he felt very comfortable in the role. He surely knew there was a risk to that, but I don't see how it will matter unless this Calderon guy is squeeky clean, himself.

Let's just give the Apple investigator 20 lashes with the wet noodle, and tell their people not to bring the prototype phones when they go bar-hopping.

lol@bee...true.

I wish he would go to the police though as I hate Apple.  I think Apple and them "losing" iPhones in bars is nothing more than a publicity stunt.

Oh, I love all things Apple, especially the "Find my IPhone/IPad" apps. I GPS my DH's a$$ all the time, LOL. He is almost clueless with technology, it pisses me off, sending him a voice message is just like sending something into a black hole in the universe. However, I did discover a slight "glitch" with my tracking-him-down obnoxiousness. It seems if he is driving above a certain legal speed, he goes too fast for the signal to grab him. I've mentioned how he drives, and how it drives me up the wall, I'm sure I have, LOL
