Dreading having to meet this chick after work and give her the ..."It's not you...It's me" talk.

I'm all nerves over here. I have a meeting tonight and I was elected the opener to explain what a Trillion dollars is before the speakers explain the debt crisis. The audience will be the general public, five 6th grade classes and some city council members.
I managed 17 minutes of introduction. And everytime I review it, I sound like a crazy person. How can I possible make 1 trillion dollars not sound so terrible ? Because the speakers are going to be discussing the 46 trillion debt.
My dad says I should set-up a big screen and show a YouTube video too .. just so I don't feel so horrible explaining this number especially to 6th graders.
Gezzzz
I have 6 hours ... what's the best YouTube video to help me out ?

What ? The YouTube visual ? Or explaining 1 trillion before the speakers ?

Oh not you BE, I just realized my example was in .... poor taste, so I deleted it!
Basically you need a small unit that in the trillion quantity, that takes up a space in a scale we are familiar with, like when paper clips were used to show the 6 million lives lost in the holocost.
Then I thought maybe you were being clever because you want people to fear this number and you would have then made your point. Oh something circular like that.
Gotta go drive the kid somewhere ... sorry to run off in an explanation.....

Ok, I won't do the YouTube visual.
I'll close on a good note explaining how to make a million with compound interest saving pennies every day for 39 years. Maybe one of the kids will want to retire early. LOL
