I agree that the houseworker is nothing special, but I personally don't find Maria attractive either.
There is a "RUMOR" flying around today that there might be more than one "love child", wouldn't surprise me.

Rarely is it about the looks of the woman when it comes to men cheating.

I'm sure Maria was good in bed before she had all of his kids, when she still found him attractive. Nothing like doing a mans laundry for years, and picking up after him like one of the children to kill the lust.
What I'm saying is, he may not have found her to be that great in the sac anymore, but I'll bet dollars to donuts she found him boring as heck too. The difference is, she didn't cheat behind his back for how many years or have another mans child and call it his.
The passion dies in any relationship, but don't sneak around - talk about it, work on it, and if it can't be fixed, (which I'm sure it can) than call it quits.
That being said, I doubt it was about the sex at all, I bet she made him feel wanted, and gave him attention that his busy wife maybe didn't realize he needed. Stroked his giant sized ego.
