Mountain Lion

The people across the street from my business used to raise chickens and the chickens constantly came across the street to visit.

One day we had a new Ford pick up out back with the drivers door off (we were waiting for Ford to get us a new door) we always pulled the truck inside the building when we closed. I walked by the truck and sitting in the drivers seat was one of the chickens. I got my camera and snapped a picture of him. I printed the picture and had it on my desk.

A few days later the owner of the truck and his wife stopped by to see if the door came in. I told him "I'm sorry but someone broke into your truck and our surveillance camera got a picture of the suspect". I told him the Police said it was someone local. I asked if he wanted to look at the picture maybe he would recognize the suspect. He came over and looked at the picture of the chicken sitting on his front seat, showed it to his wife and they were still laughing ten minutes later. They left with the picture still laughing hysterically.

OMG......Mountain Lion, that is hilarious.

We used to have chickens when I was a kid....Rode Island Reds...nothing better than fresh cage free chicken eggs. Also, kept a rooster.....Pecky.....with the hens for a short period of time.....meanest SOB. It would attack you with it's horns if you didn't have something in your hand for protection. He met his demise at the end of an ax after he attacked my little sister who was 10 at the time.

I gave my neighbor some garlic chives out of my garden, for her garden. She gave me two more eggs! LOL

I think those were lucky chickens to have escaped with only some feathers missing, after a brush with the jaws of Baby Rhino. He made his first kill yesterday. Took out a woodchuck. I think it was a baby one. Was parading around the yard with it, pleased as punch with himself. Got a hunting dog of a daddy in him, somewheres, I am convinced. He had a raccoon treed the other morning. Mojo joined in on that one, too.

Look--

what showed up in my neighbor's pool! They can not run the filter and raised their water level, so the ducklings could get out! I saw the ducks land in my pool, but my dogs must have changed their minds.

Good Golly Miss Molly  Where did they come from...a lake near by?...THEY reproduce fast..we had some when kids were  young and put them in the pond at the College of the Mainland and in a year   there were dozens of babies ...and a bunch of pairs having babies.
